Brett Favre in a new sex scandal

The big question is: Is Brett Favre involved in some sort of sex scandal? And if it’s true, will it force Favre to retire as the Vikings quarterback before the start of the football season? Will UK bookmakers be able to put up odds on the Vikings?
According to people that work on the website Deadspin, they report that Jenn Sterger, who in 2008 worked as a reporter for the Jets, has claimed that she received text messages from Brett Lorenzo Favre, with pictures of, um, well, ‘Little Lorenzo’.

It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last, most people are asking, will this disclosure influence Favre on his decision on whether or not he’ll play in the 2010 NFL football season and will UK bookmakers put up odds.

Favre is a 19 year veteran quarterback, who has played for the Atlanta Falcons (1991), Green Bay Packers (1992–2007), New York Jets (2008) and Minnesota Vikings (2009).

Favre was the quarterback for the University of Southern Mississippi for four years prior to being selected during the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft by Atlanta (33rd overall).

Among Favre’s many records and statistics are the NFL record for most consecutive starts with 285 and 309 if you include playoffs, the only player to win the AP Most Valuable Player three consecutive times (1995, 1996, and 1997), he has led teams to eight division championships (1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2009), five NFC Championship Games (1995, 1996, 1997, 2007 and 2009), and two Super Bowl appearances, winning one (Super Bowl XXXI). He also holds the record for most career touchdown passes, most career passing yards, most career pass completions, most career pass attempts, and most career victories as a starting quarterback. This makes a bookie want to put up odds.

Back to the sex scandal, very different from the sex scandal that brought Tiger Woods’ marriage down, forcing him to give up $750 million to his ex-wife. Sex scandals can be very difficult to live through, why it even made Tiger Woods a near mortal on the golf course, just ask any bookie.

In this particular case, Favre is sure to deny sending text messages with improper pictures to someone he worked with, just like he has denied sending text messages with his intentions of retiring to his current coworkers. There’s even a chance that nobody in the media will have the nerve to even ask him about all these new claims.

There are even rumours that an online bookie temporarily removed the odds on which team will win the AFC North.

The truth is that only Favre and his bookie know for sure.
